Standards and Compliance
Vue Technology's products have been developed based upon the philosophy that different environments will have different needs with respect to support for (and integration with) readers, tags, and frequencies, and that in order to be successful at the item level, a solution will need to maximize the breadth of its support in these areas. With this in mind, Vue’s technologies have been developed with the utmost in flexibility:
- Vue's technologies are Frequency agnostic (UHF & HF)
- Vue's technologies are Tag agnostic (Gen 1 & Gen 2)
- Vue's technologies are Reader agnostic (Symbol, Alien, ThingMagic, Samsys, Feig)
- Web Services enable using Vue’s technologies with other vendors’ RFID Edge Applications
- Web Services enable using Vue’s technologies with legacy enterprise applications
Simply put, Vue works with the devices and frequencies that already exist, and are designed to seamlessly work with future RFID technologies that are components within the EPCglobal Network.
Compliance to accepted standards is also important to Vue, as it ensures that its customers do not get tied into closed, proprietary systems. Vue’s products support both U.S. and European standards. RFID device management is fully compatible with standard network ‘best practices' as well as standards under development by EPCglobal and ISO. Vue Technology's open architecture and Java-based platform allows for extended application functionality regardless of operating system.
