TrueVUE RF Networking
Breakthrough Technology
Traditional RFID hardware and software have focused on providing solutions where
very few read points are required - for example environments where RFID monitors
dock doors, impact doors and other areas with few antennas. The traditional hardware
design where each antenna consumes a dedicated port on a reader (usually with 4
ports) allows for a total of 4 antennas to be controlled by a reader, which is often
sufficient in this scenarios.
But what happens when an item level solution is required? Now, even a simple solution
may require thousands of antennas, which would require hundreds to thousands of
readers. Not only would this be cost-prohibitive, but the RF interference created
by the readers would cause severe reader density conflicts and associated technical
challenges.
Vue has solved this problem, and made item level visibility both technically feasible
and cost-effective. With its patented RF Networking devices, Vue allows standard readers to network across thousands of antennas, exponentially increasing the number of zones that each reader can support and dramatically reducing the cost barriers
previously associated with item level RFID roll-outs. With this technology, Vue
provides the most scalable, powerful infrastructure designed for item level RFID
applications.
